In 2020, Istanbul Medipol University ranked in the 401+ band of the best young universities created by the Times Higher Education (THE), in which global higher education performances for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are evaluated, and the world’s best universities are ranked. Istanbul Medipol University also ranked in the national and international lists created by the Round University Ranking (RUR), which evaluates the effectiveness of universities in the world by four critical dimensions in terms of teaching, research, international diversity and financial sustainability.

Istanbul Medipol University is among the universities that have the highest rate of the accredited programs. With the School of International Medicine, Medicine, Health Sciences, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Management, Fine Arts Design and Architecture, Communication, Law, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Istanbul Medipol University offers 183 undergraduate, 94 graduate programs. Also, there are nearly 20 research centres parallel with the study fields of these schools. From cancer research to sixth-generation wireless studies, from sleep and hypnosis studies to media studies, the opportunity to improve in various areas is here!

Started its education life on the Historical Peninsula, which known as the home to many civilisations, Istanbul Medipol University maintains being one of the leading universities in the health field with university hospitals and research centres. Also, it offers the opportunity for students to practice in its hospitals.

Kavacık Campus, which attracts students’ attention with its well-developed infrastructure and modern architecture, has accommodation facilities for girls and boys and offers entirely different life experiences with its central location close to the Bosphorus. The campus an attractive living centre with six sports arenas, 115 student clubs, cultural activities throughout the year and, online education opportunities.

Istanbul Medipol University preserved place among The Entrepreneurial and Innovative Universities

Istanbul Medipol University ranked among in the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index 2020 created by TÜBİTAK.

Istanbul Medipol University was viewed as the most successful 34th university according to the results of the the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index 2020 created by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). According to the results announced by the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank, Istanbul Medipol University ranked 34th place with a total average of 41.1 points, ranked 9th among the foundation universities and 6th among all universities in the “Intellectual Property Pool” category.

There are 22 indicators in four dimensions, as follow ‘Scientific Technological Research Competence’, ‘Intellectual Property Pool’, ‘Cooperation and Interaction’ and ‘Economic Contribution and Commercialization’ in the ‘Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index’ which prepared according to the data collected from 185 universities with more than 50 faculty members.

Having been published by TÜBİTAK since 2012, The Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index lists the universities according to their performances in entrepreneurship and innovation.

The Index, contributes to develop the entrepreneurship and innovation culture in universities.
