Founded in 1962, The University of Jordan is the leading university in Jordan (UJ). UJ has been recently ranked among the top 10 universities in the Arab world and top 650 across the globe. This is according to the international QS Global World Rankings for the year 2022, where it has also scored 5 QS stars. The UJ is not only a pedagogical institution, where it offers more than 262 graduate and postgraduate programs- including, but not limited to, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Science, Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Information Technology, Art, Business Administration, Sharia’a, Educational Sciences, law, Physical Education, Arts and Design, International Studies, Foreign Languages, Archaeology and Tourism- within 24 different schools, but is also a hub for research and innovation. Since its foundation, the number of UJ graduates has exceeded 200,000 around the world. UJ’s employment reputation is among the first 300 worldwide according to QS World Universities Ranking 2020.

UJ’s faculty consists of qualified academics working in parallel with its ambition and aspirations to excel. Many of them have held many key roles in academic, administrative and political fields in Jordan. Some of them are ministers, advisers, deputies and heads of universities while some are excelled in innovation, scientific research and literature.

UJ is not only looking to reach the highest level of excellence, but it is also trying to apply the principles of total quality management and to use the latest information technologies in its programs and strategies. In the times of modernity, UJ is proud of its adherence and ability to cope with the ever-changing mechanisms and scopes of learning, teaching and pedagogy.
