İstanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Communication aims to train professionals who would monitor the transformation tendencies in communication and information in the already transferred age of media. It houses Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising (Turkish & English), New Media and Communication Systems and Media and Visual Arts departments. The Faculty of Communication, creates a difference in communication education with its innovative and integrated approach that combines theory and practice, with its research laboratories equipped with the most advanced technology, animation studios, editing and basic design workshops. It aims to graduate students who will have the competency to work in communication sector. Graduates will use effective communications in work environment, follow up the new trends, have good command on the new communication technologies and have ethical responsibility. For this purpose, our students take courses pursuant to the developments in communication field and sectoral expectations and study within the frame of “training for practice” and “practice for training”; publish newspaper/journal, make movies and write screenplays, produces television news. Shortly, they transform all the technical information taken in the classroom environment into practice in all fields related to the communication discipline. Our faculty members, who are experts in their fields and possess interdisciplinary methods, pioneer our students to shed light on frontier research areas of the future. They attach great importance to the development of critical thinking and express thoughts, not just with words, also with images and sounds.
