Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin occupies a leading position in the field of design. The University has an age-old history, which allows students and academics to adopt excellent experience and knowledge from the leading specialists.

The history of the University began in the late 1920s. Being an outstanding University in the field of fashion and light industry, it presents all branches of creative and technological specialties – from clothing design to production technology. Among the academic staff of the university are world-famous designers of the Russian fashion industry: Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Valentin Yudashkin, Elena Teplitskaya, fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev. The university has the ESMOD MOSCOU International School of Design, which is represented by offices in 14 countries. About 10,000 students including more than 1,000 foreign students from 100 countries get their higher education at Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin.
